Once To Thine Own Self... ends, the strip will likely return to an all gray scale daily format, dropping color Sundays altogether. It's not something I'm happy with, but that's the most temporally economic solution. The dailies are much quicker and easier to produce.

As for TTOS..., I'll keep producing it as promised in the one color Sunday, six gray scale dailies pseudo-week schedule until it's finished. While it would be nice to let the Sunday appear actually on a Sunday, I don't think I'd be able to afford the extra update for now. It would just be easier to keep things to MWF, which makes the schedule more predictable and easier for folks to remember. (Of course, now that the RSS feed works without a hitch, people can watch that for updates. But I can't assume every single reader will use it.)

I assume you're still keeping the strip to "6 dailies, one sunday" layout. If so, my humble suggestion would be to run the dailies on MWF then MWF, and allow the Sunday to actually appear on Sunday (every other one). The other Sunday would either be Dark, or get the sketchbook stuff. I don't think you necessarily have to add back Tuesday/Thursday (although you could do it with Sketchbook stuff). That's my two cents...
