- Spending the day putting up drywall to fix holes in ceiling from plumbing work. I'm much more comfortable with firewalls than drywall… #
- More blasts from the past: drawing a character AWOL from GPF for a good five years. Expect more archive dredging in the coming months… #
- Started "Soul Music" (Discworld #16) by Terry Pratchett via Audible.com this morning. #
- Fire drill. Standing in rain, trying to avoid second-hand smoke. Joy. #
- The boy: "Daddy, you're a great friend." I'm a big mushy pile of mushy mushiness right now. #
- Line work's getting so shaky I'm tempted to use circle/arc tools to do character faces. *Always* did this by hand. Now I feel… dirty. #
- Just finished strip #2980 by continuity spreadsheet. Archive DB says I have 3045 updates; that includes guest strips. A decade will do that. #
- How curious am I about the Verizon Droid? Downloaded the Android 2.0 SDK/emulator to play with it. No calendar tho, which Droid should have. #
- Full day: 7 loads of laundry, swept/mopped/vacuumed entire house, general straightening, & drew 1.5 comics. And they call this a "day off"? #

- Wife informs me our 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid just rolled over 100k miles. Not sure if that number's magic like it used to be, but a hybrid? #
- Premium folk: Sorry for missed Sketchbook update today. Put off main comic work tonight to fill Sketchbook buffer so it won't happen again. #
- RT: @howardtayler: Okay, this? Cool. http://bit.ly/zTymB Also, it blends the WORST things a table-top RPG and computer-based RPG can offer. #
- Wife's micro banana bread muffins are exceedingly tasty, but I feel like such a pig saying I ate *nine* muffins for breakfast this morning. #
- Update to WordPress 2.8.5 less painful than to 2.8.4… only because I remembered all the hoops I had to jump through the last time… #
- Wildlife-filled lunch: saw a mink, a turtle, a small-mouth bass, a carp, and another carp chasing two ducks, all from my seat by the window. #
- Busy scripting second story arc of upcoming GPF Year Eleven. One character has been reduced to tears. My evil cartoonist moniker is secure. #
- Someone place an order in the GPF Store? I HAVE A STORE???!???!? #
- Finally finished "Red Mars". Opinions way too deep to condense into 140 chars, but final verdict: Meh. Doubt I'll read the other two books. #
- Dilemma brewing: Rumors have Palm Pre coming to Verizon in Jan, now Droid comes in Nov. My New Every 2 is up in Dec. Decisions, decisions… #
- The boy still hasn't grasped the concept of "sleeping in on the weekend". I'M UP BEFORE 6AM ON A SATURDAY! Grumpy daddy… #

- GPF Book #5 appears to be now shipping! (Got my copies in the mail this past weekend) #
- At wife's suggestion, disabling robo-tweets of GPF comic updates. If updates are consistent, there's no point in annoying folks with them. #
- Spent Columbus Day holiday assembling new 55" LED LCD TV + Blu-Ray home theater setup. Exhausted, but in 1080p & surround sound <evil grin>. #
- T-Mobile/Danger cloud data debacle makes me a bit more nervous about considering a Palm Pre if it comes to Verizon in January as rumored… #
- Finally sat down with Inkscape to make an SVG, vector version of GPF Seal. Been using low-res bitmap copy for over a decade. Inkscape FTW! #
- Something clicked. I… I think I actually *get* Inkscape now. (O_O) #
- Finally fixed 2 typos in today's strip. It's daddy/son day, so haven't been online until the past hour. (It's nap time, finally!) #
